Coming by plane

The main Slovenian international airport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, which is set 25 km from Ljubljana (the capital of Slovenia) and 170km from Radenci. It is currently served by around 250 direct scheduled flights per week, with a high share among them that are operated by Adria Airways, the national airline of Slovenia and a member of the Star Alliance.

Radenci can also be easily reached from Zagreb or Graz airports:

  • Zagreb Airport, Croatia (140 km to Radenci),
  • Graz airport, Austria (90 km to Radenci),

Coming by car

You can best get to know a country if you visit it by car and you can reach Slovenia via one of the border crossings with Italy, Austria, Hungary or Croatia, or you can rent a car in one of our car rental agencies. Slovenia’s highways are good and clearly signposted, beside the roads you will find rest stops, inns with overnight accommodation, and motels.

Travel documents

Persons wishing to enter Slovenia must have a relevant travel document. EU/EEA citizens do not need a passport to enter Slovenia, only a valid identity card. On the basis of a bilateral agreement, Croatian citizens may also enter Slovenia with an identity card. Slovene citizens may also enter EU/EEA countries and Croatia with a valid identity card. On the basis of a unilateral decision by the Government of Montenegro, it is possible to enter Montenegro with a Slovene identity card.

A foreigner wishing to enter the Republic of Slovenia needs a valid passport and a visa or residence permit, unless otherwise stipulated by law or international agreement.

Any alien who in accordance with the law does not need a permit to enter the country may stay in the Republic of Slovenia for not more than 90 days in a period of six months.
